Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Honorary Chair in Psychology in the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely recognized as the pioneer of modern studies of the memory of witnesses and also children's witnesses. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer who has received many prizes and grants. She has advised numerous administrations and agencies across the world about policies as well as research related to child victims by the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as director of three divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development and Practice Division American Psychology-Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
