The elegance and grace of Witt caught the eye of the world and she's dominating her sport since then. Olympic triumph Katarina (now Witt) was awarded the Figure Skating Gold Medal during Sarajevo in the Sarajevo Winter Games. Her victory four years ago was a lot closer. The free skate she took was a loss, but her gold medal came from her performances in both the compulsory figures (short program) as well as the mandatory figures. Witt is the first figure skater female to win the same event twice after Sonja Heine. Hall of Fame After enjoying great success in the field of acting, Witt returned to the figure skating sport to take part in the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Games.
