Adults refer to animals or humans which have attained their maximum development. Within the human realm, adult refers to the social and legal aspects. In contrast to a person who is who is not considered to be an adult or "minor", the legal adult is a person who has reached the age of majority that makes them independent as well as responsible and competent. A legal adult can be referred to as a major. The age of 18 is as the age of legal maturity, but this definition can differ by country, legal rights or the development of a person's psychological.

adulthood is the stage of the life of an individual in the time when both intellectual and physical maturity has occurred. Many people believe that the age of adulthood starts at 20 years or greater. It is around 60 years later than middle the age of 60. The beginning of adulthood occurs between the years of between 18 and 30. Middle adulthood occurs from the mid-30s through to 60s. The transition to late adulthood begins around the mid-60s. Physical maturation has been completed when we enter our early adulthood (20-40s) however, height and weight might rise a bit. When we reach the beginning of our adulthood, we're physically and mentally at the peak. Strength of muscles, reaction time, sensory ability, and cardiac function all reach their peak.
